This picture and this Article is a great example of why just weighing yourself on a scale can be less than ideal.  A body scale can be one tool in the toolbox of tracking progress, but remember these friends too:

  • Progress Pictures (in good lighting and at the same time of day, upon rising is a great time)
  • Taking Measurements (grab a tape measure and write it down from the beginning)
  • The way your clothes are fitting
  • What strangers are saying to you about your progress
